The Montana First Nation Solar Farm, located about 200 km north of Calgary, Alberta, is one of Canada’s largest on-reserve solar projects. Owned by Montana First Nation, the 4.6 MW (AC) facility produces approximately 7,677 MWh of clean energy annually, enough to power over 1,060 homes. Developed by GOLDBECK SOLAR Canada Corp., this project provides long-term funding to the community by feeding renewable energy into the Alberta grid. The initiative also created job opportunities for local First Nation members, supporting both economic growth and sustainable energy education within the community.
